Default Could i still use these pistons???

Yea, well these are my low compression custom made JE pistons for the a20. I Want to go and put them in but im not sure if they would be ok to run? The skirt of the pistons is pretty messed up on one side but its pretty smooth. Maybe i could just hone the cylinders and run some new rings with them or something. I dont wanna try to get a new one made considering the guy who first had these made and did them to these pistons paid 800$ to have them custom made.

---- it, rock em, dont look that bad, i wouldnt touch them, trying to smooth it out is just going to remove more metal. Do a deglazing hone and use new rings. Remember i think these were half a mm overbore? They are overbore for sure so dont use standard size rings...

do all the pistons look that bad, normally the majority of scratching should be towards the lower skirt area. that looks like wear from expansion to me. you really could still run them i would just rehone and use file fit rings for sure.
