Removing the thermostat can cause engine wear and damage, and even cause it to overheat. Will cause more problems without solving any. Troubleshoot your ----. I still think you got moisture in the distributator.

Fuel pump or ignition problem.

I'm gonna go with ecu/sensor problem. IF it was fuel pump it wouldnt run fine cold unless it wasnt the car acatually getting warm so much as the fuel pump ovrheating. IF it was the Dizzy than it wouldnt run right cold either. Try your aunts ECU if you can, also run it hammer it off the stuttering for a sec then pull your plugs immediatly, take pictures and report back. I want to see if the plugs are showing that the cars running lean. IT sounds like an open loop problem, perhaps when u are easy on the throttle closed loop gives it enough fuel but open loop then kicks in and makes it lean thus stuttering. This is weird, I have never heard of a corolla having weird domestic car type problems.

i had a similiar problem i could not figure out with my zr2. ran fine cold, as soon as it warmed up had little to no power. a buddy had an s10, so we spent an entire eveng trying to figure it out. checked fuel psi and it was fine. just put a fuel pump in the week before. changed the pump again and installed a new tank and was golden. only thing i could think of is when the truck was shut off all the ---- in the tank dropped and when i drove the truck it would run fine until the sock got clogged with all the ----/probobly water, in the tank. since water is heavier than fuel.

Figured it out. Was the dizzy, or IS the dizzy.

Plugged in my aunts and after the car warmed up it felt good bouncing the car off the rev limiter at wot.

Took a while to get around to it, taking 19 units plus the **** teacher for my statics class is making us do another project outside of class which eats up another 6 hours per week.

Still do not understand why the dizzy was affected by engine temp, because when i took out the tstat, the car stayed cold and worked fine (save burning more gas and me not being able to use my heater)

Tstat is back in so worries, picking up another dizzy at the boneyard tomorrow

MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED OUT!!

i hope that dizzy you install starts the car on fire and burns it to the ground. sorry to say but it needs it.

I agree its an abomination. But its all i have at the moment. Going to be rebuilding the stolen hatch, this time i'm taking some precautions with anti-theft.

i would say water got in the dizzy and possibly water conducts better at higher temps and causes it to short something out
