Exactly. He's still a human ------- being. They have families and ---- just like us. How can you not have any sympathy for another human being dieing? He was doing his ------- job. It's not like he was just hunting down crackheads for shooting practice or something, although I think that is a very good idea.

I have been through the same ---- you people have. I was a felon before I was a teenager. I spent my fair share of time in jail and have been arrested more times than I can count, but I still don't wish death upon them for doing a job. Just think about how fucked up the world would be without them. Without them, I could kick your front door in, put a bullet in your head, ---- your mom in front of your sister, curb stomp your dad, and kick your dog in the head. Who is going to stop me? :-\ If they need to be a little harsh at times to get a point across and to stop a few shitbags from doing stupid ----, then so be it.

cops here are unfair.. i dunno about you guys. my friend got pulled over for something stupid but it was cuz he was black and was rolling in a park ave... he probably thought it was stolen... he said he's gotten pulled over 2 times for stupid ---- like.. his dome light was on, but it wasn't, he had a tail-light out but when they checked it, it wasn't ::) also some asians were folled at 11 at night by a cop cuz the cop EVEN SAID that they were following them for 9-10 blocks cuz it was 4 asians in an integra all riced out so they thought something was up. the cop got suspended for that. i know that a lot of them aren't like that but some are.. from what i've heard and experiences, they are.

I wonder why they would be suspicious of an import full of kids cruising around at 11pm? ???

you guys bitch and complain but these stereotypes are formed for a reason because ---- like that happens all the time For instance im white but i deliver pizza's in the worst neighborhood in tampa ive been pulled over 3 times in the two weeks ive worked there because im white and im in a very bad area late at night. they pulled me over every time to have a dog search my car for drugs because 99 percent of the white people that ride through that area are buying crack or cocaine the other 1 percent are lost. I dont like it its a pain in the ass but i understand why they do it. i dont condone the harassment because alot of times they take stuff to far but they are just doing their jobs give em a break

everyone has a valid argument but I think whomever does not like cops obviously has no idea what its like to be a cop.

But like someone already stated, it's part of their job and part of it is to have people calling them crooked and racist.

And as for the "regular" people who get pulled over constantly and what not. It's part of your life because
1. Your not a cop
and
2. Because you're not a cop

There are so many issues I can get into but I wont because it'll all be opinions. Let's stick to cars.

Re:COP SHOT DEAD

Disclaimer: I by no means condone police corruption.
OK, now that I've got that out of the way, consider how dificult it is for cops to keep out trouble. A person tends to take on the characteristics of those whom he surrounds himself with. For example, psychologist have often got more issues than the people they help. They spend all their time with people that have psychological problems, so it follows that they will pick up a lot of these problems themselves.
Cops spend all their time with criminals, so it follows that they often pick up some criminal behavior as well.

Furthermore, cops are part of the executive branch of the government. In other words, they are required to make judgement calls as to what civil or criminal offenses should be prosecuted and which should not. For example, say a cop pulls you over for doing 85 in the 65, but he only writes you up for 75 he is using his discretion. The basis for that decision is composed of his moral values, his personal experiences etc. etc. Fact of the matter is that applied ethical decisions like that are very difficult for people to make, and being human, cops are prone to make mistakes. Throw in lots of on the job stress and mistakes become more and more common.

Like I said, corruption is not justified, but put yourself in someone else's shoes before you make a judgement call.
