I have always wondered why no one has started using the Toyota V8's for drag racing etc. They are absolutely stout engine with a bottom end better than most V8's available.I see those 4.0l V8's going for dirt cheap too.I have always dreamed about buying a 93+ Supra and dropping in a built Toy V8 with a massive turbo.

I like the mini-camaro body style better than the mini-fastback. As long as we are daydreaming, I'd like one of these

As long as we are daydreaming, I'd like one of these with a 1uz mated to a supra w58, ford exploder 8.8 posi rear end, megasquirt'n' spark with ford EDIS coilpacks, flipped headers with twin holset HY-35s.

They are not the easiest thing to work with: the US ecu has the auto tranny ecu built in, and doesn't play nice without the slushbox. No manual bolts right up; poeple make adaptor plates or buy a custom bellhousing from Australia. The engine uses dual distributors, which doesn't work well with most standalones. Also uses a strange karmann-vortex MAF. The engine mounts are soft and fluid-filled for luxury.
I think you are starting to see more people using them.....quite a few supra dudes.
