You can conver the onstar GPS unit to work with your laptop in it looks to be any car. and its FREE lol

Hmmm, thats some pretty cool stuff if you have a GM with Onstar. But if you didn't do this hack that kinda sucks you can't access any of the information without calling Onstar and going through the hassle of all that was explained.

that would be pretty cool if you already owned a vehicle w/on-star. However if you dont have on-star: these days you can buy serial or PCMCIA GPS units for sub 50 bucks.

Yes indeed good sir. Will this work on Hondas? Or is it exclussivly for GM products?

I dunno dude.. looks like theres a lot more to it.. i mean ---- look at all the mess of wiring harness on it. also according to the article it sayz there a idiot light on the dash that goes red/green?! Just seems like a big pita if the vehicle isnt originally equiped

I use my PCMCIA GPS all the time, esp in my PocketPC. I have pocket streets which is pretty eleet when travelling.

Not saying it couldnt be done, but theres a limit to even my thriftyness

Hey i wonder if you can hook that up in your honda and if your car does get jacked i wonded if there would be a way track it somehow just like the on-star people do...?

Yeah, but by the time I'd track down my stolen car, that ****** would be running down the street with the Onstar computer trying to sell it for crack
