It's a chopped insight.

If they DO come out with the CRX again, I think they're going to drop the ball majorly. It needs no power options, with a 200 hp K20 and needs to look like the old crx's did.

i agree... but id like to see a 500-600hp tt v6 instead of the k20, with a 6 speed tranny for gearing.

possible, but it would have to be turbod from the factory with all forged internals, and a either solid aluminum block like dart makes, or a golden eagle sleeved special with a fatty t3 super 60-1 for power. AND there must be a 6 speed that still uses factory axles from the 90's O0

They should stick to the original formula.
Economic but quick, Light but fun.
Basic comforts, PW, PL, Sunroof A/C that's it.
They could shove the Acura I think is a K23 turbo in it and make it really fun.

But if they just make it light and fun a 200hp Kseries would be plenty and cheap enough that people could buy them in big numbers.

I would sign for one Right now.

Like Sinister said, if they DID release one, it'd be something decent. Probably just a k20 2 seater hatch... regardless, if it was re-released, wasn't fugly, had a 6-speed k20, and was light as hell...I'd go out and buy a brand new one...

If honda really wanted to be great it'd be awd and/or turbo...

+1, but id still like to see them stuff a v6 in it for the hell of it. hell make it rwd with a k23 turbo w/6 speed tranny. either way it goes, if i have the money guess what ill have lol.

I love how people are holding onto the Honda might make another cool small car. Its done guys. The Honda fit is here to stay. The last good looking small Honda was 7 years ago.




Buy up the rest of the clean crx's before the are gone cause there not making anymore thats for sure

Yeah, I agree with ya chris. Hard to believe it's been 7 ------- years since a good honda :S

Everyone still likes to hold onto the hope that they'll release something "fun". At least the new SI was an improvement over the ---- they've been releasing.

honda is never gonna make a car that an actual honda enthusiest will like again. the last decent car was the 2000 si and ever since then they have been way off the mark. you would think they would listen to the people and make what they want. people aren't just mobbing 12 to 18 year old cars till the wheels fall off because they can't afford anythign else, it's because the only decent lookign car since 1995 has been the 2 door coupe. ---- most honda guys now a days have familys and own at least two other cars. if they would make a decent power to weight ratio car they would sell :y

She's got a black grill on it now, looks nicer. I think with some rims and a drop it'd look nice. Sadly it's got the not-so-long-lived D17 in it. B16 would've been a nice engine for this. Only reason I don't think it looks that bad is it reminds me of the 96-00's. :-\

An obvious chop, but that would be an awesome little car if they did release it...I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Other than that, nothing Honda has made lately appeals to me other than an s2000. I've been toying with the thought lately of just offing all my hondas and b-series crap and using what little I get from it towards a nice used s2k.

so i take it nobody likes the s2000....i mean i kno we're talking econobox's but u said honda hasn't made a good car since the 00SI....i've driven a few s2000 and i've got to say they ------ rock.No other sports car in the world like it....easy to drive....and awesome factory suspension

s2000 is nice. I've never driven one but it seems like a car I'd enjoy. But...4cyl? They could have at least thrown in a v6... The upcoming CR might be fun, reduced weight and improved suspension.

Anyway, I want something CHEAP and easy to toy with. I dont need power windows, power steering, power locks, none of that ----. They can give me a barebones shell that doesn't look like garbage, isn't made of 90% plastic, and isn't a bulky piece like everything out nowadays, with a simple cable throttle k20 and I'd be satisfied. Honda talks about how great their resale value holds...they are going to get slapped in the face when all the 90s models disappear and resale is based on the 2000-2010 cars... The main reason resale is so high for them is because of enthusiasts. There isn't an average person that will pay 2-3k for a clean crx, but an enthusiast will snatch it up.

Everyone should give up the idea of another enthusiast car, like others have said it wont happen.

Trust me....that "4 cyl" will destroy the v6's in the same sports car class.....350z,bmw Z4,RX-8(not v6 but u kno what i mean)......dirvin it at willow springs......car is fukkin tits! :6

They wanted to keep the good ol High-revving reputation they have been known for and show they could do it with a 4cyl and with a v6.....it never would have been the same.Driving the 2.0.l s2ks were awesome....seeing that digital gauge hit 9K.... :y

s2000 drivetrain is known to fail when driven hard. 2 friends have them. 2 had the same deal.




They handle nice powerwise is very meh. Kinda reminds me of a basic b16a swap in a crx/civic
