Re:Computer reboots at random
personally before I started buying new hardware, i would try a basic OS reinstall, I've had that problem before and thought it was a power supply and I ended up re-installing because of some other issues and the random reboot thing stopped happening.

Re:Computer reboots at random
Do what Tim said and get the details of the GPF. Go Here and plug in the hex code and any module names and see if you get any hits. It might give you an idea of what is causing the problem.

Re:Computer reboots at random
that happened to me last year at school. it was a virus that didnt do anything bad to your computer, just shut it off at random times. everyone in my dorm got it at some time or another

Re:Computer reboots at random
My computer here at work kept doing that. I ran the McAfee antivirus software and found out I had 8 viruses on it. My work computer has been problem free ever since I took care of that problem.

Re:Computer reboots at random
i had the same thing happen to my PC. The fan on the power supply didnt always want to start spinning. Also, leaving the cover off the side seems to help... stupid gateway. Pull off the cover and the next time it reboots check and see how hot the power supply is.
