i did not get a pentium d, i got an Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 the Intel fan/heatsink that came with the processor already had thermal compound on it, so i did not need to put any on. as for running the ram seperately, well, it runs just fine and i do not do any gaming other than online poker. but if at anytime i need to designate my ram to certain process' , i will keep your suggestion in mind, thanks. |

either way, it doesnt really matter what words are use to describe the processor.
now back on topic here.... i have just converted the first video and burned it to a dvd. on the old 2.4 celeron pc, this would have taken about 1.5 hours to complete. the new pc, took a whole 35 minutes. :o |

a pentium D is a pair of 64bit PIV's on one chip.
it has nothing to do with a core, core duo, core 2, core 2 duo, or core 2 quad processors. |
