Well .. if it is NTFS.
Make your account administrator.
setup another account - as a normal account.

On the folder - set the permission to your user name ..
remove all other user names from the security listing..

save the changes by pressing on ok.

and make sure your account is password protected.

Log it out, and get the users to log on useing the other account,
which will not have permissions for the folder.

or.. if u dont want to deal with accounts and what not.. (if u want to keep it one account)

download winrar www.rarlabs.com

put everything u want protected in a folder.. right cclick.. add to archive.. under compression mode drop down selecct store.. which wont compress it that much (faster) then on the advance tab click password.. password protect it.. voilla..

oh yea.. they can still delete the file.. so be careful :1

You're supposed to be able to incrypt a folder in XP and password protect it, but I've not been able to get it to work...

you could just put em in a folder inside the system 32 folder.. doubt anyone will *** arround there..

or right click the folder or files and make em hidden then no one can see em.. and only way for ya to select em is Ctrl + A

then ittl say there are hidden files so u want to select those to? blalbllabllalbabla

The Encrption will only work if your account has a password and the secutry permissions will be set on the folder..

I belive the encreption feature will only work correctly, when the ntfs permissions are setup right.
