rca to 1/8th stereo is going to be no diffrent quaility than rca to rca. ::) its just a diffrent jack the solderd to the soundcard :1 im doing it right now and it sounds great. that cable connections ---- is just hype people at best buy use to sell you overpriced cables. as long as it has the cable has good continuity and good contact its fine.

ok i went to radio shack and picked up the cable, i plugged everything together and did a test. it werked for a few minutes and then it started making a static type noise. then it stopped werking. so i unplugged it and plugged my reg comp speakers back in and now there is no sound at all.

did i fry my sound card?? and if so how did i manage that??
