Default Computer guys... help me

Ok, im on craigslist starting to post an ad for my car, i click to add pictures, and then a bunch of ---- pops up. It adds 2 new programs on my coomputer, so i uninstall them. Everything seems to work fine right now, except im locked out of my desktop background. i check the "view source" and it had a bunch of ---- in it, basically the html to make it say "warning, your computer may be infected blah blah blah".

i cut it out and just typed in HI, so now it says HI in my background in the top left behind the icon. i tried to set a picture as my background, and it told me access denied. Im running a spy sweeper right now to get rid of any gay ---- thats hanging around, which usually works for me. ive never had this thing happen tho, anyone know what to do?

Format your computer and reinstall windows, then download service pack 2 for XP and your good to go. That will solve your pop up and spyware problem.

Run Norton Antivirus (updated), Spybot search and destroy, Ad-aware, CWshredder and then Hijack this.

Do waht CSaddict said. Run all of those first, try to fix the problem. Then if you cannot fix it at all costs, then do what BBKA said, but only if there's a problem. You shouldn't reformat "just because"

lol. internet exploder is pure bullshit that microcrap just vomited out to get a product. fire fox pwnze all. also, a pretty damn good virus protection progam, actually one of the best on the market that i use, is pc cillin. its small, fastest scanners around, and it catches everything, even spam. its freakin sweet.

you could go to linux if your a man like me, but then again, i was a noob at it. but after a while, you get used to it. it has its downs, but its ups are ------ great.

xp is ----, 2000 is the best, and 2003 just doesnt do ---- for beens.
