Re: compresion test results

all of them are 4.5068 psi too low for what it is.
better tear down # 6 thrust bearing and sand blast it.
It could be too much cam timing advance too, better adjust your dizzy to correct it

I think next time you should try running the engine and doing a WARM compression test.

220psi hot? holy hell. So your around 9.5-10ish:1 and making 500+ on 92pump? You using Endyn Rollerwave pistons by chance?

Your car/setup amazes me.

Prick! ;) I am 150 psi across the board with about 25k on the motor. It's still the same psi as the day it was assembled. Mobil 1 20w-50 at every oil change.
I am running rollerwaves myself. I'll be happy with 12's on street tires.

Good shizzle.

thumbs up on the car forsure! you better run some nice times at BOTI cuz i want to see some 10's ;) maybe we can get the GTI to hit some 12's....

Re: compresion test results

Stephan you gonna bracket race at BOTI or just the fun runs? I need to line up with you so I can get a front row seat ass handing. Itll help me put 500whp vs 330ish whp into perspective. :)

if he pushed the gas pedal to the floor all that would do is give him higher numbers since the cylender would be able to pull more air in ::) it doesnt realy matter if you do it at wide open throttle or not anyway.

Re: compresion test results

it was done at WOT. I just hook up a wire to the starter, hold the throttle wide open and then put the wire to the positive terminal on the battery. Thats the easyest way I found to do a comp. test.
