common DSM problems?

no doubts!!!

went and put a downpayment on the car, saw full receipts for motor and turbo rebuild and new clutch.. plus lots of other maintenance

a dsm will do you good as long as you do the matinence. the only thing to worry about with colant and oil is the head gasket. other then that i would just replace all the coolant lines in the engine bay. they tend to all go bad .

Older dsms are def stronger but a thing to watch for in most all of them is the tranny. after you hit the 11 sec mark bye bye. Replace the coolant lines and check for shaft play in the turbo. Keeping coolant and fluids cold always helps

boostgear, i've already been reading up on VFAQ, glad i found it.. thanks for those other links.

Henson, I plan on occasionally dragging the car, mostly track days and Daily driving though!

twack, i'll have a look at the coolant lines., turbo one too?
