Colleges

I'm going back to school and I don't want to ---- up like I did right out of high school, I'll probably apply to all of the schools just to make sure I get in -somewhere-. But which one would you prefer to go to?

Notre Dame
Don't they make you go to church there as part of the ciriculum, if so ---- that.
Whats in your state? Tuition rates will be lower.

Re: Colleges

Miami and UC are in my state. Notre Dame has a really good learning abroad program that I would like to do. I'm going for architecture by the way.

Re: Colleges

miami is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I'd go to UC probably. I'll probably end up going there or OSU after i get my B.A. if I dont move to the east coast for school.

OSU is too much of a party school for me, and I toured UC's program last Friday and I really like it but I don't know for sure that they will accept me.

Notre Dame is litterly walking distance from the place I call 'home'. I have many friends who went or are going to ND right now.

Is that not true? I think I heard it on sportscenter about athletes that go there.
I have a fighting irish shirt on right now, not because I like ND, my grandfather loves that ---- because he is actually from Sligo, Ireland.

SkunT 07-27-2006 11:15 PM

Re: Colleges

whoa! you have a ND shirt on! holy ----!

and no, you dont have to go to church to go to the school. they could give 2 shits if your aitheiest.

Most students do go to church, but how are you going to force a student who is petocostal to go to a catholic church?

So the anwser to your question, no.

you'll get into UC before Miami. I know a kid who didn't do ---- in highschool and kinda always fucked off and hes going to UC right now. State schools are usualy easy to get into.

Re: Colleges

Temple? Ha I'm a Temple Grad, what are you going to school for? I'd base the school on how well it is in your field, I think temple is a cakewalk if you are going for broadcasting/telecom, believe me I know ;)

If you are Arch then why not try Auburn? Samual Mockbee's old program, one of his old facility still run the Mississippi program he is so famous for.
One of our old partners spent some time at Tenessee's arch program 20 years ago, says it was good....

So you going into Arch ? Are you going for your pro degree or just the 4 year? Hope you like the taste of No-Doze and red bull :y
I love architecture !! where else can you go to school for 6 years, work for 4 years and still call yourself an "Intern" while running multi-million dollar projects and still get paid 20$ an hour :S I must be insane

Re: Colleges

I want to stay around the Ohio area if I can, I know there are a lot of other good programs besides the ones I listed but they're farther away than I would like to be. I didn't know you were an architect, that's really cool. I love the ---- too I've always been into it, I don't mind working on that type of thing for hours upon hours because I do enjoy it so much. I'll definitely end up going for a professional degree, I would be stupid not to. I believe here in Ohio the requirements are a profesional degree and 3 years of internship then you have to pass the test to become licensed.

Re: Colleges

thats so damn high :-\ OSU is like 18k with residency. My school's like 14k even with residency. It's not to far but Wright State doesn't have an architecture major. For an extra 120k PSU better have steak dinners every night and complimentary hand jobs.

HondaTuner 07-28-2006 03:07 PM

Re: Colleges

You should see the costs that my step-brother and step-sister are going to have to pay for their colleges :l

Even if Wright State had one I wouldn't go there because my ex does, and chances are it wouldn't be an accredited program and thus a waste of my time.

Thats why im not going there for a graduate program :) You probably wound't run into her though. It's a pretty big school.

Do you make enough on architecture to pay back 184k with it not being to bad?

UC would probably be the easiest choice. Unless you want to get out of a certine croud, or experience something new.

since when do you live by ND? i thought you were in plymouth or something?
i'm close too. just north of cleveland.
and btw i have yet to meet a domer thats cool, probably because i run into thos faggot football players. i hate those bitches.

Re: Colleges

The bitch is crazy and I don't want to take the chance...Wright State isn't that big anyway. UC is probably my top choice, I need to go back to Sinclair this fall and take 4 classes I dropped out of back in 2003 to get my GPA back up to a decent level so I can transfer to a real school.
