Default Coilovers?

Ok so I have a 98 civic EX coupe and I want to buy a set of coilovers to lower it with. I don't want to slam the thing, just go maybe 1.75" at most. I would just buy springs and struts but I like the fact that coilovers are adjustable with ride height. I still haven't decided if i want to go with full coilovers or a sleeve coilover with aftermarket struts.

So far here's some of the coils I seem to like:

Sleeves:
Ground Control
Skunk2

Full coilovers:
Skunk2 pro
Tien Basic
http://infinite-auto.com/96_00_civic_coilovers.html <---- saw those while browsing around on HMT ads. Good price on them but does anyone know if they any good? The rates look a little lopsided to me

I don't want to spend a ton of money on these which is why I was looking at sleeves, but if the price is right on some good full coils then i'll go with those. I'd say about 600 is my limit for my setup

Go with the full set-up. Never cut corners when it comes to important stuff like handling. Plus in the long run it is way better to get the quality stuff.

That's what I was figuring, But I have heard good things from the ground control sleeve style ones, when paired with some KYB's or something similar. They have eibach springs in them.

A friend of mine had these with his stock shocks for a while before he sold his car. He said they worked great.

Ground control setup is good. There is quite a few affordable full coil overs out there now though I would shop around.

The ones from infinite auto seem like a decent price for full coils. $498 for the set. (link is in first post.)

I have a 98 EX and plan on getting omni sport full coilovers and omni camber kit

Make suyre you correct your camber regardless of what you do, otherwise you'll be paying for it in tire wear

i had some GC and Koni yellows on my CX when i bought it...i loved them..but i would never suggest buying them...confused? Koni;s are probly the best shocks you can buy, but at like 189 a CORNER + Skunk2's or GC's your in them WAY more than you would be for a REAL coilover set. and handle just as well if not better and for cheaper. also with a full coilover set im pretty sure they have a shorter shock with them, means less likely to blow out cuz your bottomed out on the shocks cuz your slammed...

buy real coilovers.....or some $35 (shipped) sleeves off ebay on your stock shocks...

I've decided to go with a full coilover setup. There's less to deal with (pairing shock sizes and sleeves) and they end up costing about the same as a sleeve shock setup (^koni's and GC's).

I'm liking the yonaka coilovers from infinite auto, but some skunk2 Pro S's arn't ruled out yet.

90dx, What yonaka products have you used? any info on their products is appreciated.

thanks for the info guys, HMT's forums are great.
