ive had this clutch about 2+years and it was used on 1 f22 boosted setup. its been used n/a for the last year. it still had meat on it left. i broke it changing gears on the freeway going home from work on the phone with murdoc, talking jdmness and what not, not racing. this is my third clutch specialties ive bought, this was the first, second was for my hatch and turned out bad since day one, and the third is stillholding like a mofo. needless to say though, no more cs clutches for me. im not bashing on cs though its a Damm good clutch for the money.

i thought it was my transmission, but when i took it out this is what i found. me so saad.

anyhow, new clutch is in, and i finally upgraded to the m2a4 trans, so im good to go...

nah, he didnt cover my last clutch that was only a few months old, so im purrty sure this one definately wont qualify. im not worried though, i dont expect a 200$ clutch to last forever.

that sucks. its like putting a new clutch in, breaking a trans not to far down the road and frying the clutch in the process. oh check your pm's.

that was one of his lsd brand clutches? hmm, anyone ever have real issues for the sohcs, my friend is in need and i pointed him towards mike, but i dont wanna be pointing him in the wrong direction.

Been running CS Cluches for years with no probs. All hard driven FI setups.

Not to bash your knowledge, but with the the rivet hole oblonged like that it still seemsed to grip/sound/engage the same?

I'm in the market for a clutch for my z6 build, I dont wanna spend alot but want it to handle 350hp (300 tq maybe?) worth of abuse, any suggestions?

i've never seen a clutch specialties clutch break like that. I've been using them before hmt and before i knew about mike lol. The only thing i've broken was the diaphram on the pressure plate lol. But thats from major abuse.

Im curious myself, I said to just take it out and id get it checked out and give you another one if there were any defects with it. You know me way better then that rene.

---- happens. If this were something that happened all the time or even more than once I would worry, but this is the first I've ever heard of a CS clutch failing like that. :l

thats a good point, however the funniest thing is, they use the same usa made rivots for just about everything, For all the rivots themselves to fail is a trip. As with any manufacturer, you always have to get product from other companies in order to produce your finished product. You have to depend on them for a good quality product as well otherwise it can look bad on you.

If he did, you would see ALOT more than one thread about his clutches. Actually, I don't think there would be any threads about his clutches, but more of people wondering where the ---- their clutches are. :P

HMT is out home, we can afford to joke and bs a little.
The warranty definately is lifetime on mfg defects and that is the case here. So it will be replaced free of charge, i dont care if the car is N/A, Turbo or Nitroused out, its covered. Like we always says, no BS, no hassle warranty.

I remember that... we were having phone sex talking about jDM reams and such and then all of the sudden you was stuck... well you were right, it was the clutch... damn I have never seen or heard of anything like that before either... well at least your tranny isn't blown!

i sure dont recall that conversation about a warrantied replacement. a good time to refresh my memory of that would have been when i bought the second replacement clutch, eh?

anyhow, honestly, im not worried about it, its done, those discs are already in the garbage. Like i said it was a good clutch, well worth what i paid. THats it, this thread is about a clutch, not about mike, or lsd.

LSD FTW. replaced a defective flywheel for me no questions asked, and when I thought I had a clutch issue, told me the same thing that if it was a manufacturer error, it wouldn't be a problem at all to get it replaced

Hey rene! So how was it driving a unprung 6 puck on a daily basis?? Im guessing if u used it for over 2 years it wasnt that bad huh? Debating weather or not i want to get a unsprung.

unsprung daily takes getting used to, but it feels sprung over time. you just get used to it. i've been unsprung for over 2 years now.
