The Clutch Break-In...

Just curious who actually breaks-in their clutches. My 6-puck says it requires a 500mile break-in period. So does anyone follow this rule? Does it really matter or can I rip when I pull out of the garage? What's break-in even mean? LOL. Seriously, just don't dump/slip/bang gears for 500miles? What about just pulls? Thanks guys.

That means you should just baby it for a while. I just slowly worked up my revs and how harsh I was on the clutch for about 500 miles. After that, it'll be broken in ;)

... Or, just do a fatty burnout ;)

Drive out here and back and you'll break in your clutch just fine

you don't really need to break in a puck clutch.......I broke mine in by throwing 10psi at it :P

I would just drive 300 to 500 miles nicely... ;)

I did with mine because I'm really not in a huge hurry to replace it again. :-\

let me check my memory..........to break in a clutch..................ummmmm.

drive slowly out of drive way. wait for traffic to clear on main road. smoothly get in first. once engaged punch it. begin frying first gear. bang into second at 7k with boost at 16psi. repeat thru 4th gear and slow down.

yep broken in and working fine. daily driven for over a year since that.

you'll be okay. ive never broken in a clutch and they have lasted. just take it out and do a fatty burnout. that should work perfectly ;)

Ya dont worry about it I break all my cluthes in my car with some hard launches and they always seem to outlast the motor setup
