Cleaning up the ride, almost there...(56k no go)

Decided to snap a fewpics of my recent work done to the rex. Its a 90 crx si, that was totally original and cleeeaaan. THe interior was freak. The car is dirty right now, the floors need a good vaccum, and the entire car needs to be detailed. Wheels have alot of breakdust. Lots of plans for teh turbo setup, looking to upgrade the ihi to a t3, and a little bit bigger ic, 8" johnnyracecar probably. Valve cover is getting powdercoated the same color as the wheels, and the windows are being tinited tomarrow. Looking for some nivce suspension, probably some low spring on agx's. I also still need to make a mount for my plx and boost gauge. Radar detector power wire has to go, need to hardwire it...

Ha, thats richards, a guy that works at a trailer shop next to us. The headlights are taller than me, and im 6'1". Yeah, im definatly looking into some decently low springs, probably H&R race springs on agx's. THe azenis are 8" wide on the traction patch, beefy as hell. So i cant lower it too much.

The valve cover is at the powdercoating shop, and i still need to finish degreasing and hiding wires in teh engine bay. Id take a pic, but its dark adn theres no light outside. Ill take some tomarrow.

Re: Cleaning up the ride, almost there...(56k no go)

Ha, its taken em 4 years to get a crx this clean. And yes, ive had experience with teh y49 curse, i even have teh shirt laying around somewhere. My first rex was a 89 y49. Ive been looking at the b16a's this past week, the price has seemed to go back down on them, there 1250 again, soooo....

y49's are nothing but trouble, I know first hand, I got one about a year ago, goes through engines like you wouldn't believe. I actually painted my rex just about the same color as that one, but it has a sweet black moon roof, and now my hood and fender are fuct and the door needs to be resprayed, two Different hit and runs

back to topic, damn that is without a doubt the cleanest rex I've ever seen good job man!

Re: Cleaning up the ride, almost there...(56k no go)

Thanx guys, yeah, there seems to be a y49 curse, but i really think it just started as a coincidence. I myself had some weird ---- happen with my old y49. The reason i even put my turbo y8 setup in was becasue the stock map sensor took a crap, but i didnt figure that out until i put the new motor in, and it still didnt work. Swapped to my obd1 map and it worked fine, sheesh.... With my old one, it always broke before every meet. Wierd... I had to not talk about the meets around it, and jsut suprise it, lol.
