im not exactly sure how my whp it has but genrally most prelude motors have 190hp at the crank. only the jdm h22 type s and the euro accord type r h22 put out 220hp. thats also to the crank. putting an h22 in your civic WIll not throw off your car's balance. it only weights something like 60 lbs heavier. people just over exaggerate just because its an h22 whoopty doo. bone stock h22 in my homeboys 93 civic vx went 13.8's. so in a coupe it'll be a low 14 sec pass on street tires. or mid to low 13's with some drag radials or some slicks. that should answer all your questions.

im not really sure how much bhp a prelude has over in japan but i do know that there is no prelude here in the states that has over 200hp. If you were going to do a swap and put an h22 engine in your civic expect some work to be done. Your going to need a kit and some engine mount just to get that engine in that civic. Expect your ac and power steering to be gone because it just wont fit in there. And it will be a little heavy on the fron end but they do have some kits to fix that. There also going to be some hacking in the engine department as well. I was once interested in doing the same. but it was too costly and i could make more power boosting my civic then putting an h22 engine in there. but if that doesn't matter to you read up on these site and research.

heavy up front. yeah it'll drop your car in the front. only because its like 60 lbs heavier than a regular b series swap. have u ever seen a b16 or b18 in a civic. it also drops the front a bit. there are many ways of going about this. get custom spring rates for the car. thats what my cousin and friends did. boosted sohc in the high 13's. possible. but its not easier than u think. u need slicks. it will not grip. so on the street the h22 civic will win. on a roll the turbo civic would fly by. and the h22 swap is only 3300 if u do everything yourself. that includes everything. if u do it yourself. but if u dont then your looking at 4500. and u can keep ac and possibly power steering. u might have to hack something for powersteering in an eg. but im sure in an ek u can keep both. kept ps in my cousins h22 Integra
