Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
Anyone ever seen one of these run? just the motor, no serious mods. I/H/E for example.
Just curious to see how the motor pulls in that frame. |

http://jeff.hybridautomotive.com/scooter/. They went high 13's with just intake and exhaust.

Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
yeah most of them run high 13s a guy at my work runs 13.2s in a 92 civic hatch he has nothing but the motor swap

Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
12.9 This was a 92-95 hatch with I/H/E on the H22. The car was TOTALLY stripped. It was on street tires though. Pretty damn good time, the low elevation and cool temperature definitely helped.

Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
did somebody mention h22a... I thought I heard something :'(
I remember hearing that a rex with h22a swap with i/h/e could run a 13.0 flat or better. |
Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
Yeah, I am looking at starting my new project car. Thinking of an h22a in a civic frame.

Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
Funny all this talk about h22 in a civic!I just decided to sell all my acuaired turbo stuff for my z6 and start my h22 fund.

Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
Well for the 92+ civic crowd this is the best swap in my opinion. With all the motor mounts coming out for these making them a fairly simple job and not to mention the cost for motor/trans is great way cheaper than any gsr swap.

Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
maybe but most people encounter alot of problems with this swap
|
Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
Proably from lack of experince. HCP makes a complete bolt in kit nothing complicated.
|
Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
you're gunna need better shocks/springs if they are stock as of now.
|
Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
Im not talking about swapping problems im talking about problems after the swap such as constantly replacing axles, bad oversteer and others im not saying its a bad idea but an h22 civic would not be a good daily driver its good for going in straight lines and that is about it
|
Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
Hrm, I've been reading it either way that oversteer is a problem but people who actually have the swap say it isn't.
I don't know who to believe of course, because its all internet bullshit :P I think I'll be doing the OBD1 b16a engine for 20 psi with the next build up instead of the h22a. |
Re:Civic EX w/ h22a any etas?
well since i got this information straight from a guy who has an h22 civic hb and has installed 3 others i think i know what im talking about ::) good choice and good luck with the b16
