Chrysler Conquest...Updated working pics! (9)

I was just driving down the road in my moms minivan (Woot!) and saw this clean car, a white two door (It was real shiny, thats what got my attention). I went up and checked it out.. Looks sweet, its a Conquest TSI.. Looked under the front bumper and o! Nice little FMIC ;) Interior looks terrific, Exterior looks good too. Looks to be about an 87 or 88. Clean as hell, one of the cleanest cars I've seen in a while.

I'll take pics later, but what do you guys think of Conquests, anything known to go bad in them? I haven't called the owners yet, I want to know if these are good cars or not.

Re:Chrysler Conquest...Junk?

Conquests are to Starions, as Talons are to Eclipses. They are the same. I love those cars. They look sweet plus they are RWD. They have a head gasket problem, but that is pretty easy to solve. If the price is right, I would buy it my self! ;D

Check out the forums on the left hand side, there's a New Owners Tips which lists things to watch out for.

It's a rare car, but definately a cool one. Worth buying even if you'll sell it again, you don't see many.

Re:Chrysler Conquest...Junk?

Here's the specs:

Manufacturer: Chrysler
Model: Conquest TSi
Year: 1987
Miles: Get this... 32692!!!
The Good: 32692 miles. Paint is mostly flawless, perfect interior (Red leather seats), crank-powered moonroof. I see not one thing wrong with this car. He replaced the tires 2 years ago (but only put a few hundred miles on it), kept it in a heated garage, washed and waxed it atleast twice every time he went out.. He's put a grand total of about 800 miles on the car in 5 years! This car is truly amazing. He replaced the clutch and everything that goes with it 3 years ago, replaced the exhaust (cat-back), replaced the front bumper fins (his nephew hit a curb and chipped the ends off), and he replaced a few other things but I can't remember. He filled up the gas tank two years
The Bad: Antenna doesn't go down (bad motor), Driver's side window doesnt go down very well. Kinda slow.
The Ugly: I'm a poor high school student and the price is $5600. However, I might get a loan if I convince my mom! 3 chips in the paint (maybe), and a little rust spot the size of spenser's penis (About 1 Millimeter for you Canadians) on the top of the gas cap. You could stick white-out on it and the car would look fine.

$5600! This thing is worth every single penny.

I would still pass at that price. See if you can break him down a bit.
