He never said it was turbo. He said FI which is forced induction which includes SC's.

the slush box and stock rear end plus over 400-500ftlbs of torque make that power pretty inefficent

a torque converter upgrade and a shift kit would help, rear end gears would be hard to do as it would throw off 4wd unless you did the front gears also
