chop top ?
 
ok i have a 89 civic 4 door to just do anything with so if i cut the roof off of it what would happen would the car fall or break in half ?

Make sure you reinforce the frame with jb weld and you'll be good to go. Seen it a thousand times.

there was a car on pimp my ride held together with liquid nails. it looked like it was rolling down the road ok on the show, im sure it will work well for your car.

home-depot sells liquid nails.

no realy what would i have to do to make it work ?

if it wont work just let me know b4 i go cuting the roof off of it i seen it done to a crx but it was a show car proly never even driven it was nice but sad at the same time

chop that ---- off man. then post pictures. i would do a write up also. im sure you have searched the internet to find the info, and couldnt come up with any so make a write up so everyone else knows. if you dont know how to post pictures. email them to me, i will post them for you.

also, i used to work at a hotrod shop, had my hands on a few chop top projects. just make sure you cut it straight, and you will be good. hope i was a help.

goto www.howstuffworks.com and then search for "unibody chassis" then look up "how to a brain" then you might have an answer

hes right dude just listen to him, liquid nails is strong stuff, but do you think construction adhesive would be better or no?

3m makes the liquid nails, although, i dont think you will need it, just a sawz-all. thats what we used. now, if you are tryin to do a chop top, and put the top back on, and have no welder, the liquid nails will work just fine. ;)

you should be good though.
