Update on my car....I melted a piston (lean out) last sunday (week ago), and since then i started my new build up.

I decided to go for the bigger 1.8L instead of staying with the B16.
So I got me a LS block w/crank that was fully cleaned, NEW Main & Rod bearings, new rings, a complete Engine seal/gasket kit from Acura,(only the oil pan gasket was not OEM). Block Guard, Pistons ( 10.8:1 CR ), Stock Rods.

UPDATED WITH INSTALL

Special thanks to paperchase for helping me with the swap, We swaped out the motor without taking out TRANNY, AXLES, or SUSPENSION, we just put the front on two jack stands, and took the motor off tranny and lower it to the ground, and did reverse for new motor install. It took most of the day, but it turned out the car will not be running tonight. Reasons: B16 Timing belt was too small (tried to save money), so tomor i hitting up the dealer for a LS belt, and as you can see in one of the pics my home boy was making a list of all the parts needed to get car running. Just so i dont have to make multiple trips.

i have used one before with no problems...............i have heard the stories here about the gaurds, but i have never encounted a problem with them....so i keep using them.......

i just finish dropping my old motor out.....and i am about to start putting in the new setup, the car will not run till next week, becasue the head will be sent out to the machine shop for some work.
