now that I'm stock with an LS tranny, I cant really swap in a gsr or a ls/vtec due to the poor gearing with high rpms. I either have to do a ls turbo or get an h22 for good power on an ls tranny.

I dont think the gearing on an ls is that bad. Its similar to an EX or SI on a d series. I would run one on an ls/vtec if thats all i had.

Ff your redline is 8200+ rpm, it makes the gears feel very long, much longer than a stock EX engine/tranny. The ls tranny is nice for a stock redline LS motor.

Here is where I'm getting my info from

http://www.fatboyraceworks.com/gears...raph&Compare=1

the first tranny is a Ex with 7200 redline and the second on is an ls tranny with a 8200 redline engine

I'm not a tranny person so I could be very wrong here.

If you are gonna be making 300whp on the street the ls tranny is fine.

I'd like about 160+ft-tq and 200hp for my DC4. Thats why I was looking at the h22 conversion. I already have a boosted DC2 teg, I havnt been NA in so many years I figure I'd try it again, but with a bigger displacement engine.

Talk to Abaz. He made the adapter himself.

The h series transmission isnt that bad and a couple companies make final drives for them. Jeremy lokofosoky the only 9 sec all motor h series did it on a h series transmission.
