Cheating Bitche's Car OWNED...

Re: Cheating Bitche's Car OWNED...
I give that a 7 on a scale of 1-10. I understand the motivation, and approve of the result, but the guns were kinda anti-climactic after my senses have been trained by Hollywood Explosions. Thermite would have been good, or start a small fire inside the car after packing it with propane cylinders....

Re: Cheating Bitche's Car OWNED...
I probably would have done something a bit different, I perfer sawzall action and ripping parts off. (example A-team van)

Re: Cheating Bitche's Car OWNED...
Magnesium is common as backpack frame tubes, or was at one time. Just filings from that... the magnesium burns hot and bright, and ignites the rust. It's not a restricted material AFAIK, poke around.

Re: Cheating Bitche's Car OWNED...
Well i would have gone all out and taken one of these
the green one https://i2.ebayimg.com/02/i/07/57/26/11_1.JPG packed it full of gun powder and the rest is history, that would have left a big ole crater somewhere in the woods |

You only need a very small filing of magnesium to get the rust started. Also talk to a chem prof, magnesium is in labs everywhere in ribbon form for starting reactions like the rust stuff. |

You light it with the magnesium ribbon. I made it in high school, so stole the mag from the chem lab. Thermite's awesome. I didn't have anything good to burn, so just burned a hole in the asphault. |

thermite burning a whole thru engine block vid
http://www.guzer.com/videos/thermite_car.php This is the recipe I used: http://www.skepticfiles.org/new/010doc.htm "- Crush the rust into a fine powder and heat it in a cast-iron pot until it is red. Now mix the pure iron oxide with pure alluminum filinos which can be bought or filed down by hand from an aluminum tube or bar. The ratio or iron oxide to aluminum is 8 grams to 3 grams. - Congrats! You have just made THERMITE! Now, to light it... - Thermite requires a LOT of heat (more than a blow torch!) to ignite. However, a magnesium ribbon (which is sorta hard to find.. call around) will do the trick." Mag ribbon on ebay http://search.ebay.com/search/search...bon&category0= |
