Re:cheapest quality oil
no synthetic on breaking. straight no name brand (supertech from walmart is good) SAE 30.
beat the ---- out of it after she's warm for a good half hour. Search google: motoman breakin method! It will only take you about 100mi to get her nice and broken in, change the oil (another change of sae30) and drive it till like 2/3k miles whatever you feel like, change to the oil you want to run permanently and never look back. Good luck. |

no synthetic on breaking. straight no name brand (supertech from walmart is good) SAE 30. Im a SuperTech man myself. On a side note, if you are doing your own 'meat-ball' hone with the block in the car, no matter how many cans of brake cleaner you go through cleaning the bores/crank/everything, there will be metal particals in there, alot. Having cut the filters open after each post break-in oil change, I was suprised at how much metal there was still there from the hone job. Search google: motoman breakin method! Although Id recommend changing the oil after 25m then again at 100m. |
