I was just looking for teh cheapest place to get some 2.5" silicone couplers. I need probably half a dozen straight and just as many 90s. I was thinking eBay but the shipping can be killer. Any trhoughts?

Cheapest place I've seen is this plumbing/piping shop... they will sell it by the inch and then you can cut it yourself.

Straights will be easy to find or improvise, 90s will be a little tougher to find cheap. Are you looking for actual silicone couplers, or will just anything do? If you are looking for actual silicone couplers, hit us up with an email, and we might be able to put together a package deal for you.

You can get the straights hella cheap, like craig said.

Anything with an angle or reduction will cost you a bit.

There is a pnumatic/hydraulic store in Tucson that sells it crazy cheap. I got 4 feet of 2.0" for less than $20.00. When I told them what I paid for 4 3" couples of the same daimeter, they laughed at me and reaffirmed that I suck at life.

Company Name:

Arizona Hose + Rubber co.
2945 N. Flowing wells RD.
Tucson, AZ 85705
1-800-382-8881

Similar store in Tacoma, WA they sell plumbing for airplanes/ships and stuff. Similar prices, across the street from the Tacoma Dome parking station a block or two west of Portland Ave. Im going there tonight, and I'll post up info, dont have specifics (phone # etc.)

Re: Cheapest place for couplers?

the 2 inch are are like 2.5 ID because there labeled for 2 inch PVC pipe. There ment to fit over PVC. PVC is very thick I.E. use a tape measure from the store the inside diameter is like 2.5.

Re: Cheapest place for couplers?

Silicone hose is used in many industrial applications and all hydrualics/hose shops carry it.I have always bought mine [Greenline brand] there and pay $20 for enough to make 6 2.5" and then just get your 90's etc from a turbo shop type place. You can get really nice oil lines made for cheap as well along with any other automotive plumbing supplies as well as the fact you get really nice industrial grade silicone.I bought a small bag of BPST to NPT adapters as well. The yellow pages are your friend when doing custom automotive work.
