Cheap track legal helmet??
 

anyone know the cheapest place or what to look for to be legal for track use at the dragstrip?? Wanna pick one up.. I seen some at walmart that are cheap as hell but i have no clue if its legal?

unless you are running 10.0 or under they just wanna see some sort of helmet on your head. i've never been to a test and tune and actually had the rating on the helmet checked

our local 1/8mile checks the rating on the helmet.
if you want cheap go with a non full face helmet.
i got my full face at super autobacs for $100.

you need a helmet if you run a 13.9 or quicker, it has to be DOT approved

lol, i love my redneck track. we have a few high 10 cars with no cage, helmets, fire extinguishers etc.. they dont care for real. as long as they get their $10 a the gate, go for it. i have two shoe boxes crammed full of timeslips and have no idea what tech inspection is.

Any real track your helmet has to be Snell 2000 or newer
