Default Cheap Carbon Fiber Hood.

Where is the cheapest place to get a carbon fiber hood. It would be for a 1997 Civic. 4-Door if that matters.

Leave on the hood thats on there, and use the money to turbocharge your car.

I think you can find it in the "RICE" isle in your local grocery store. its cheaper to buy it by the bag, not the box I have found.

just do what the euro's do and put a cf 'bonnet'. Basically just put a layer of cf on your stock hood. I'm sure they make them in stickers too.

Bahaha! Well man if you do go for a CF hood, don't buy just some cheapie. Take a look at VIS or JDMshit.com. Theres quite a few other "good" names that have a reputable business going. If you go with a cheap hood, they usually have a fiberglass underside , the edges are not rolled so it looks like ***, underneath the gel coat you can see mistakes from the person laying the carbon fiber weave (fray's, wrinkles etc.), and on alot of the cheap hoods the gel coat doesn't hold up too long if it's subject to the sun for long periods of time. You'll notice it start to get duller and duller.
So, if your seriously concidering a CF hood, look into spending a bit more for a quality piece. You'll be happier in the end. I also forgot to go into fitment issues but thats another story.

CF hood isn't worth it man. Even though I got mine for only $185. It'll start to fade, pain in the *** to take care of. When I first got it, I was getting pulled over like 3 times a week (I live in San Diego). Now that I took that ---- off, cops don't even take a second look my way anymore.

Oh yeah, by the way, I'm the dude with the CF hood that broke. I'll Get rid of it for a small price, and it's fixable.

Just remove the bracing underneath the hood, then primer it black and say it's carbon fiber : P
