A 1.00 would work pretty well on an H22.

Most of the 4-8 liter diesels make a good match to our 4 cyls, though.

My HX35 weighs in at 38 lbs. Depending on the turbo, 50 lbs per is fair.

Ignoring n00bs who will buy complete piles of ---- because they are ignorant, I have $250 in a 12K mile HX35 whose big shaft and beefy bearings means it has more life in it than a new T3/T04E hybrid, and is capable of more power.

Like anything, getting a good used turbo has to do with exactly how much you know.

me and a couple buddies participating in a county event of deisel engine diagnosis for metro buses, and we got a tour of the facilities.. I was VERY surprised.

the buses have a 7L inline 6, and the turbo's on those things are sooo much smaller than I would've thought. the majority of them were holsets, and looked about the size of built honda motors like hotrex's and beau's. my friend and I were practically in tears when we saw 2 motors heading for hte junkyard with 2 perfectly good turbo still attached.. something like .63 exhaust / .70 compressor. we were constantly on the lookout for where they stored their new and used turbo's >:D

i've got a pic of one of them on my phone that I can't post up right now, a brand new holset bolted onto a freshly rebuilt motor. it seriously looks like a bigger T4

oh, and at low idle (700rpm) they run 0psi (no vacuum) :6 , and 8psi @ 2200 w/ no load :6
