So i saw the Chappelle show season three trailer today in class at the UW. I was rollling, i was wondering if anyone else had seen it or knew where to download it at. Apparently Comedy Central is running the 3rd season without Dave, and just using sketches he had previously abandoned.

yea i heard he turned down/gave back a ---- load of money cause he didnt want to do it any more. but i guess any fresh chappelle jokes will be ok

I think they're supposed to be part of season 3, the sketches for the first few episodes or something, not crappy "thrown away" ones. Shitty how it all had to end.

I can't believe he turned them down. I'm pretty sure he must be getting some money from them for the next season they are showing. So he just called it quits?

i heard that rumor too...he had a huge contract so im guessing that in order to get out of it without much penalty i guess he gave the rights to the sketches he already had done for the 3rd season

He was supposed to get 50 million dollars, that's including a share of the DVD sales, for seasons 3 and 4. He only made a few sketches and called it quits, he never has really say why, just vaguely rumors say that he did not like the direction the show was taking, and that the company heads would not give him the artistic freedom he wanted.

The guy is already rich, and humble enough to say ---- YOU all and your money.

I really miss the show, I would hope they could somehow get it going again, and not just a few episodes, but continue with the seasons, but it seems either Comedy Central or him are not willing to make peace.

Sucks for all of us.

Carlos Mencia is ok, but he aint no chappelle.

I liked him when he first came out but he got really annoying real quick. Back in the day when they had Reno911 and all those shows Comedy Central kicked ass. Now it ------- sucks

Well carlos mencia is not mexican but he's always trying to pass as one, and doing the beaner jokes. It gets annoying and you can see he is trying to hard to be funny. Oh and he scream way too much, I feel like saying dude, you have a mic right in front of you, take it easy. I like the show, but not as much as chappelle's.


Chappelle, and most black comedians, are just naturally funny and laid back.


I use to watch Comedy Central more before, now I only watch the Daily Show, this ---- is funny. Now the Colbert report is pretty funny, I guess is a spinoff of the original, but Colbert is funny.

For real, Mancia, to me, just tried to take over chappelles shoes, which can never be possible. I think he does try to hard to be funny and it shows. Colbert is a funny ass mo fo

I love the word of the day thing, and how they can show what everyone wants to say of any issue but he says something different. I like the Colbert show, a hell of a lot better than anything else they have tried to follow the daily show, like the adam carrolla show, and the colin quinn show. I think is also funny how he presents the guest then he is the one walking to them, jumping around and saying hello to the public, is just funny.

Comedy Central tries way too hard to get shows going, but nothing works. The only ones that have worked out, Reno 911, which I don't really like, Daily Show, Chappelle's Show and Southpark. Everything else is pretty much trash. This season Carlos Mencia and Colbert are pretty good and should last more than a season.

Id say Colbert will take over John Stewart soon, the other day it was funny though on the john stewart show, Howard Stern was saying how comedy central is so cheap and thats why Chappelle went into rehab.
