I know I could never do what i was doing yesterday on my PC
I had 7 different graphic programs running with itunes, was burning a DVD max speed and was watching HMT videos. My PC would have been dumbfounded.
I dont even want to think what wold happen if i tried to open Final Cut Pro4 on it

(prgrams include Abobe Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, Indesign CS, WindowMEdia Player, Ouicktime, FlasH MX2004, Dreamweaver MX2004, Itunes, Safari, IE)
All these were running and was working in tem while buring a DVD and some other ----

:EDIT: and the G3 is a bit out dated All lap tops come with G4 processors now. We have computers in our lab three years old but the are early model G4(blue/green), then the newer ones are silver and the G5's are just ------- gorgeous

Macs = overpriced butique peices of ----. build your own computer and go AMD. when they demo ---- in the mac store what they compaire it aginst is intel because intel uses rediculas processing speeds to make up for the shitty data bandwith and poor design of there chipsets. Amd on the otherhand has a huge bandwith for data processing wich allows my 500 dollar board/processor combo to own a g5 for half the price. setup = Msi k8n neo2 platnium with the nforce3 250+ chipset, amd 64 3700+, 1 gig of corsair ddr. gforce 6800 ultra(price not included in the ---- since its a 500 dollar graphics card, but happens to be the same card they offer to be put in the g5 as the "high end preformance card") . Also if somthing breaks for your mac its hella expensive to replace. they ------- sell cables for your ipod for 20 bucks and the wall plug unit for 30 dollars. someone stole these from me. so i had to pay 50 dollars to get my firewire cable and wall plug charger back because you need both to charge it.

i beleive i paid around 1500. i dont qutie rember because i bought the system over time and not all at once.
and 500 of that is the graphics card. a comparably equiped mac would run you $2,824.00 before sales tax so that bitch is twice as much.

and the reason theres no viruses for mac is because while it is a harder system to exploit in a way. it can still be done. and the reason its not is you would infect what like 1 out of every 1000 computers that hit a website. Plus if you accualy did get infected on a mac. you would be ---- out of luck and would probebly have to do a fresh install. because while mac maintains its easy to use status. it has no real way of configureing system files or even getting into them. its more of a ok you can do this on here and thats it system.. also if you just want a virus free system. just set your windows system up right from the start. turn all hte bullshit services off, download firefox. Or if its just the problem with running windows as an operating system run linux. and subtract 100 dollars from my system price.

Wow, your basing your opinion on a system that came out in 2000? g4's have been out since 2001. Thats like saying All window's suck, becuase melinium edition crashed alot.

The mac is a great purchase, its great for the computer user that wants a computer that works, it does everything i need it to do, 5x better than my brand new pc, The only thing it doesnt do well is games if they would release counterstrike for mac, id be in heaven.

So you have an amd 64 bit processor that is not being used, there is not a 64 bit windows operating system, osx 10.4 (64 bit operating system) will be released within the next month, and the real power of the g5 will shine. With a mac you dont need virus protection, Unlike windows, the operating system isnt full of holes.

But way to thread jack, The safari problem is probably related to a style sheet error, i will update it when i get home and see if it still persist.

That dual 1.8 > greater than your amd 64 (32) 3700 chip.
