CDM FTW!
I love open DP, but im tired of smelling like exhaust.
So I put a ebay 120 shipped catback exhaust on the hatch today. The piping sits tight next to the body, cant see it from the side. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= The good: Not loud Fit great Sounds great The bad: Big muffler=cop magnet Ricer looking didn't come packaged in 100 bills :( |
Re: CDM FTW!
Post up sounds, I'm supremely interested in this thing. Need muffler bad :3
|
Re: CDM FTW!
i would not install a can on my car if it was free. seems pretty cheap though for a whole exhaust

Re: CDM FTW!
I have this catback too. The muffler is too ------- big, but sound great (inside the car). I painted flat black so cops don't hear me and don't see me.
This big muffler is a bitch if you have a lowered car. |

Re: CDM FTW!
I always wanted to get some slightly stiffer shocks that work well with stock springs but I don't know of any.

Bilstein HDs. They are awesome, you can rebuild/revalve them cheaply so it's a lifetime purchase. Will cost ~$450 shipped to the door. |
Re: CDM FTW!
I remember the pic, you look 4X4.

I was surprised how quite it is, And at WOT it is low and deep. Also know the cdm market uses the cheapest materials that rust very easily so enjoy it failing apart in 2 years and cracked welds My rsr exhaust I bought in 1996 is still perfect but hey I like doing things once. CDM=fail |

I guess you have never been to california to the cdm headquarters out here. They carry 500+of each item. They make 15 bucks on each part but when you sell 10,000+parts per month they dont care |
Re: CDM FTW!
no, i havent. i get most of my ---- from indinapolis. i make just as much or more on each part than the name brand equivalents though. i guess it works out. i tried selling name brand parts for a while

Re: CDM FTW!
Ya there freakin crazy huge full of stuff that breaks but is shiney LOL. A buddy of mine use to go down to LA and make bank on stuff before the craze of ebay hit. Dealer prices havent changed much but the selling prices sure have.

Re: CDM FTW!
Since my car is lowered I'm happy with the 2.5". The pipes are at like 2" from the ground.
I welded the down pipe with an little angle, that's why its so low. 3" is going to come next year with the bigger build :y I don't feel the need for a 3" bellow 250hp. It's not a 6cyl, its a b18 :1 |
Re: CDM FTW!
I rock the CDM 3" catback with N1 stlye muffler shits like $100 and fits good.I changed the muffler to a Vibrant flat black and its totally stealth O0

Re: CDM FTW!

Re: CDM FTW!
that's some awesome stuff... I have the same bootleg on my del sol, but I had a buddy club spec 2 muffler welded onto it. I replaced a muffler with a expensive ass piece of pipe... haha... I'm jdm. oh and that exhaust fit shitty on my car... and yes I got the version for the del sol.

Re: CDM FTW!
I would rather flux core my own ---- >:D
CDM ---- is OK |
Re: CDM FTW!
American steel+turbo muffler=exhaust that isnt ricey/clean and roughly same price range. Oh and will last forever. I like orange chicken not 9 year olds welds.
