CD player got jacked
 

Welp yesterday me and my friend went to the indians game and we took the RTA train into the city. I guess the area has had problems before with cars being broken into but not lately. We come back after the indians get their asses handed to them 7-1 and we are walking up to my car and glass was everywhere. I look at my car and glass was all over the ground and all inside my car. My CD player was gone but my ipod (which was sitting out in the open) was still there which is weird because that is worth more than the CD player. Also my paycheck was in the car and now i cant find it so i think that may have gottten ripped off too. I just got off the phone with the glass company and its gonna be 200 to fix the window. The only thing im pissed about is that i really cant do any thing. Ahh well this is the las time i keep anything valuable in my car and now I am definatly getting an alarm. Any suggestions?

That's why you don't leave your cd player face, ipod or paycheck in the car, no matter where you go. I learned from a buddy of mine that used to jack stereos that you're not safe anywhere.

i paid 700 dollars for my car and full coverage would be almost 2 grand every 6 months. not everyone is in the situation of being able to afford that, plus i have no tickets or accidents. comprehensive just isint in some peoples budgets ::) expecialy when your under 25 and not on your parents and cant take a 4 grand hit every year

buy the window yourself.. prolly more like $75. take you less about an hour to clean up and install the new one

my buddy with a nice 03 cadilac got a rock thrown through his passenger window. cost him like $100 to get a new window with the same tint as the rest of the windows

I know, when we were walking away from the car i thought to myself "Hmm i should have taken the face off that cd player... I'll be fine" sure enough when i got back it was gone

Yeah i wont use insurance for this because my rate will probably go up agian and id be screwed there. I would do it myself its just i wouldnt be able to do it until next weekend and I have work and such where i need to leave my car somewhere. thus company will drive out to my work and do it all for me on monday so i am just gonna do that.

Haha maybe I will. But an alarm to start though

the best thing u can do is get an alarm that has a VERY visible status light. deter theives

mine and a couple other people i know, our status lights are HELLA bright. mine you can see from probably a good 100ft away, and one of my buddies at 100ft away looks like he's got a camera flashing inside! hella bright
