Default CCW

Finally got around to taking a CCW class. Lecture stuff yesterday, range time and testing today. Anyone else have their's? We had a small class size and thus had more time to shoot and played a few games. Did a timed shoot where we hung three targets at 21 ft and loaded two magazines with 6 rounds. Had to shoot two shots at each target, reload and fire two shots at each target again. I was able to pull of 11 of 12 hits in 7.5 seconds, much fun. I may try to get some of the NRA pistol markmanship levels, maybe distinguished expert someday.

I was thinking about getting the CCW permit, but there's to many places that dont let you pack heat. Whats the fun in carying around a gun if you cant take it into school or the mall?

Right now all I have is my Springfield, instructor had a Kel Tec .380 someone gave him. Said they are coming out with a .40 soon, for the compact size of that gun and it was a double-action only it would be a great little carry gun. I think they run around $300 I'd be really interested in one of those.

If u get a Kel-Tec I would suggest doing some work to it. Known as the "Fluff & Buff" at least. Will make the gun much more reliable.
Lots of info here: http://www.ktog.org

I personally own two P3-AT's and love them. I carry one daily as a back up in a Desantis pocket holster.
