cars are stupid and so are you.

note to everyone:
do not use an intake cam on your exhaust side, even if you rotate it 180°.

now on to the good stuff.

got my friend's 18g on my car, all ready to go and stuff. threw some insurance on it, took it for a rip to see how it goes. it went. fast. took a run to the liquor store, come back out, start it up.
ohhh yeah nothing like the sound of two cylinders not running. immediately I'm wondering what the hell has happened. it drove fine into the parking lot, and now it's randomly dead. I see a bit of a puddle under the car, so I'm thinking that a rod magically threw itself out of the block while it was parked. roll it back, see that it's just coolant. I find that the line running to the throttle body has a small crack in it. whoop de doo.

my friend is busy pulling the plugs... and all I hear is "what the ---- is coolant doing in your spark plug holes?". I glance at the coolant line I just checked, and for a moment I think that it's running into the breather hole on the valve cover. so I'm panicking about just filling my engine with coolant. I check again, and it's not, so I'm relieved.

anyhow, it gets towed home, we drain the oil, soak up the liquid in the spark plug holes, and replace the goddamned valve cover spark plug seals. throw some oil in, fire it up, turn up the boost, and went out and just walked on my friend's b16 turbo.

replace your seals and gaskets bitches.

Rotarys are not shitty..They just take more to maintain. Kains is not turbo. Na rotaries last between 150,000 miles to 200,000 miles. Depends on how its driven. Turbos last 120,000 to 125,000 miles.

Agreed. My 12a had 225,000 on her beating the ---- out of it daily. Now with a newer motor, I take care of it more.. it blew up at a red light ???
