All that carfax says is it was wrecked once and repaired and issued a salvage title. Like no ones bought a wrecked vehicle.

Becuase salvaged titles usually mean the car is worthless. Its tough to resell a car with a salvage title
You can be re-issued a normal title when the vehicle has been inspected I beleive. So you don't have to sell it as a parts/salvage car.

Werd. My roommate has a repaired/salvaged truck and it won't go away even after it's been inspected and cleared for driving on public roads. It shows up as a salvage/rebuilt title.

I've seen some cars pass inspections and they were still pretty fucked up and pulled to the side and such, inspection measures chassis/body measurements, they dont care if the caster/camber/toe is set correctly, I heard of cars getting alligments before inspection (because its required) and they passed everything, and still pulled off to one side ever so slightly.

look on the bright side.

1. its been inspected and should be safe to use ( no telling )
2. most vehicals that i know of that have rebuilt titles are Emissions Exempt( depending on state )
in WA rebuilt titles are emissions exempt
