Car wont start, after installing turbo kit? (Integra GSR)

Hello everyone. The car has been sitting in my driveway for about 3 weeks now, and have not started the car ever since. I am about 90% done with my installation (only missing the downpipe and the dumptube), and today, I wanted to start the car so I can actually see my hard work paying off... and to my suprise, the car wouldn't start. Now, I don't think its the battery because my horn work fine, and my cd player plays music loud, and my 12" speaker is still hitting hard... so what could this problem be? Bad starter? Any suggestions? Thanks guys!

Just cause your music plays doesn't mean the battery isn't dead....it takes alot more just to turn a car over then to make some speakers vibrate a little bit

I do have gas (about a quarter tank), the car is not turning over.. it doesnt sound like it is trying to start, when I turn the key, the car makes no sound, and when I turn the key back to remove it from the ignition, it makes the little chirp sound. any ideas, suggestions??? I did not mess with my distributor or spark plug wires

hit your starter with something hard. seriously. it is a temp fix if it is not to far past dead. try hookig some jumpers up to make sure you have enough juce. if you got nothing start with a new starter. it is getting colder out now and that is when all of my starters seem to go up like the first cold days of the seson or snow fall.

did you unhook your battery before unplugging the ecu and putting your basemap chip in? if you did then it might not be getting a good connection, so go try to tighten it down or maybe its just dead.

I never disconnected my battery during the installation, and I never modified my ECU. I am using the stock P72. The only thing i did was install my home made turbo kit ;D Oh, I dont know if this is bad or not, but I did have my oil pan off the car for 2 weeks. My internals were exposed, but never got wet or anything. But this doesnt have anything to do with a motor not cranking right?

so you're running an fmu then? sweet!! if you didnt do anything with the electrical then i would say your battery is dead, get a new one or a chump, i mean jump

um if over a two week period your botom end seized up but no it should not have anything to do with it. um you should chip your ecu.

did you knock off the little signal wire on the starter or blow any fuses when you were ------- around?

Check all your fuses. Check all electrical wires that you may have touched... then try jumping it.

By the way, you really should look into some kind of engine management (IE: Chipping your ECU. It's cheap and very reliable)

Thanks for all the helpful responses. I do have a question though. Someone said "oh so you have an FMU? cool!" I do not have an FMU or anything. Stock ECU. I havnt even seen how the car is gonna run after the installation. I have yet to start it. but here is my question... I am going to get 550cc injectors, but what else do I need for tuning? Do I need something like Hondata s200? or can I just get the car tuned with my 550cc injectors? what do you recommend for engine management/fuel management for tuning? I want the car to idle as smooth as it did stock, and to ride nice and smooth. What is perfect management for that, that is affordable? Thanks!!

Re: Car wont start, after installing turbo kit? (Integra GSR)

so you were trying to start your car without the right size injectors, chipped ecu, or an fmu? this is a defenite no no and you should be happy it didnt turn over or you would be in a lot more hurt than you are currently. figure out the engine management before you do any real damage to your motor

Re: Car wont start, after installing turbo kit? (Integra GSR)

chip your ecu. look at ------------- he can do it with a base map.

if you are trying to start with 550 injectors you will flood it in a second. no runing the car till you have your ecu chiped with a base map

Do you have an fmu? un hook it and hook up the lines how they were stock and try again.

ur car needs at least 9 volts from the battery to start. like stated above try and push start it.

Yeah wow, dont ecpect to drive it without some form of fuel management as soon at you see boost the ecu will go into limp mode and fall on its face. You can chip it yourself for around $35, then you need a data cable, laptop, and chip burner and you are ready to rock. Or you can just pay someone else to do it for you.
