Only other thing I could think of is maybe a bad cv joint?

It would definatly make some bad bad grinding if the CV went out.

Well, I saw one on a late model nissan that just went out and the car wouldn't move.. then again the car was in a wreck a week before, so i'm sure it fucked it up.

I'll just submit and agree with your clutch post.

Was the thing slipping before hand? Were u able to shift gears without pushing in the clutch pedal?

No slipping all off a sudden car wont move. Could it be a linkage, just an idea

if it feels like its going into gear, its not the linkage. Reguardless you are going to have to crawl underneith your car and diagnose the issue, 99% chance the transmission is going to come out.

what axles did you use? I used 95 ex axles on a ef before and the wheels would not turn after I thighten the axles nut. :-[ I had to change back to the ef axles. 98ctr

might be the clutch. Well since you have a 90 civic, try popping the hood and tightening the clutch cable, tighten it a few turns and try to move it. If it doesn't move tighten it some more. If it doesn't after that, tighten it some more. If it doesn't after that say ---- it and tighten it all the way. If then it finally moves, congratulations you have no clutch and you're running metal to metal (yep yep happened to me).

uh, you can shift gears without the clutch in, just have to rev match it and give the synchros hell...hehe.

hahaha... I remeber when I still had my hatch, I would drive people in it and be like 'check it out shifting gears with no clutch' so I would shift gears without using the clutch, and they'd be like 'whoa'. Hahaha good ----.

I've had a few friends who would race without using the clutch, just slam the bitch into 2nd gear after bringing the rpms all the way up. A buddy broke a T56 (6 speed) like that twice on his LT1 powered camero.. good thing he had a warranty.

If the speedo goes up its not the clutch, the trans has to turn to register on the speedo. Check your cv's ;)

That's what I was thinking. I had one pop out on me once and it did the same thing. I wacked it a few times and it clicked back in. I also tore the boot with the hammer I wacked it in with, so that was pretty cool.

Think about it. You've got an open differential; the wheel with the most slip gets the most power. So, if an axle is broken, it will "slip" the most and thus get all of the power while the good wheel just sits idle.

That'd be a mean joke to play on someone...
