you still have to go on as a secondary or occasional driver, wont save you as much as you think.

get an older car.

Re: Car Loan

Depends on the state and Insurance company. My first car under my name, 97 civic, was just me on the title and the loan. I still had it with my parents group so I saved a lot, full cover was like $75, I was 19........

My current car 2002 WRX, also my loan, my name, their insurance, full cover is around $120, I'm 24.....By myself it would be double that almost....BUT the insurance company just changed their policy with added cars, now it has to be under my name....I tried adding the 2000 Integra, under my name, my loan, they said now, but I can still have the WRX in there, if it was before summer 2005 then it would have been fine, with the new policy I can't do it.

You can always do the loan under just your name, but have the title under your name/and/your father, so you both are in the registration...that can work.....I know in FL you can have the registration under two names, and the loan under one. I did this to use my sister's tag so I would not have to buy a new one $250...

Out here, you can get put under your parents policy if you still live with them or if they *think* you live with them and your mail still goes there. Not sure if it's the same other places. I wish I could do that. :l

I sure the ---- don't. My truck costs me $800 a month for the next ~4 years or so. :3
