Car has the hiccups?

I have a t25 turbo on my d16y8 and using a missing link on the map sensor. On one side of the map sensor thread is a little stripped and the missing link bolt is kinda tight but not all the way. Could this be the reason why my car is hiccuping. The hiccup happens when I and just starting to move around 10-20mph the as I'm hitting the gas the car hiccups and the air fuel gauge bounces back and forth extremely quick. Does anyone have any ideas? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

yup, I would totally be looking at your map sensor area, if their is any leaks, cracks (anything of that type) you can easily get this problem. Our d16z6 hatch had the "hickups" and we found a small hole in the map sensor line.

Thanks Jeff! I thought it might be that. Is it easy to re-thread the hole where the map sensor bolt goes? Is there any way I can stop the leak or can I get a bigger size bolt to compensate for the stripped thread, just for until I can get it to a place where someone can re-thread it.

Also would that cause a boost leak? My turbo hasn't been spooling up as fast?
