Insurance or no insurance, bottom line is that thieves need to get their knees broken. Buddy lost his car and it sucks.

Here in Ontario Canada, we get an ***-raping if we get caught with no insurance.

Here in NY you can't register your car without insurance.

It's another thing if you throw on some plates and do the illegal route.

Even if he does have insurance on the car you'll still need theft. I don't have theft on my 86 crx. There's no way in hell i'd get anything back for what I put into it.

I do have collision and theft/fire on the altima though.

Oh and for the record our state (and just about ever state in the US) has laws of having liability insurance only, you dont have to have full coverage (fire/theft/etc/etc). I do recommend uninsured motorist as well. I have liability insurance on all my cars, because full coverage is about twice the price.

You guys trying to get on his case(and I don't mean just saying "hey, you should really get insurance") for not having insurance need to shut up and learn that some people aren't in your situation..

when you get in an accident with an uninsured motorist and cant afford ur medical bills cause ur insurance only covers so much who you going to cry too. if a person has a choice between what is right and wrong and chooses wrong then they deserve whatever consequence occurs due to their own stupidity even if its death or bodily harm. ---- i dont care if its family if u ---- up by choice live with ur choices. its call live and learn then die.

One time i forgot my wallet at home and i went to the gas station to get gas and when i went to pay i realize i left my wallet at home (i lived 2 blocks away). I parked my car on the side told the guy i'll be back. He said just drive home i trust u, but the way i saw it was if i get into an accident then that's my ***. This was 9 years ago when i was in high school.


In N.Y. they will impound ur ---- if u have dummy plates. That's why some guys run when cops pull them over.
