Default Can't believe i found my stolen kit on a local forum!!!

My car has been stolen in septembre 2005... eg turbo hatch... d16z6 setup.

But yesterday i look on a local forum and i see what it seem to be my turbo kit so i ask the dude if he has any pics he said no, but i told him i was very interested in the kit so i ask him if i can come to see it. So i drive to his house tonight, and ----, this is so my kit, everything is there except oilpan and the ecu. I ask him a couple of question but not too many to be suspicious...

Me: was the kit on your car?
him: no, i did not have time to install it, and i crashed my car recently
Me: So you bought it from someone?
Him: eeh... yeah i bought it from that guy that live 15min from here
Me: so he was running this on a d16z6 right?
him: yeah

So he is asking 400$cnd for the whole thing, turbo seem to have big shaft play now (its been 1.5 year since the car has been stolen...)

I'm freaked out! I don't really know what to do... i did call the cops, to reopen the case on the stolen car, i'd like to do it the right way but if it doesn't get trough i will get there with a couple of big friend and ask him if he is legit and where he bought the kit from or else ask him to give me back what he stole from me

Yeah... i got a couple of big friend (and a couple of doorman like you said!) and lot lot of people on the local forum that are willing to come help me...
I know cops will likely do ----... but if the young punk has other stolen part (because he is selling a lot of prelude, integra and civic parts...) he might get caught easier.
When i check his previous post... it's just parts for sale, he is not active in discussion... he only register on forum to sell. That sound really suspicious.

...you are right, i haven't been here in a while, i bought a crx... which was a total POS lost 2 grand there... so i bought a cb7 coupe. And turboed it, it was awesome until a spun a main bearing... so i swap the stock f22a6 to a f22b and sold the turbo kit. I still have this car but it is in storage. Right now i'm driving a stock 92 vx. And i'm building, "don't laught at me" a N/A d16z6

d16z6 block
d16z6 head with homemade porting
d16z6 intake with homemade porting
gsr Throttle body
zex 59300 camshaft

crespo spring and retainer
Edelbrock header with the 2.5" mod collector
2.5" exhaust line, along with a 18" long magnaflow resonator (2.5") and a cheap 2.5" twin loop
si tranny (trying to find zc dohc 3rd and 4th gear)
p28 with datalogging

The cops won't do ----, they are useless. Just get a bunch of big dudes and pressure this kid to tell you where he bought it from, then take him with you when you go see that guy, etc... Round up all these ******* until you get to the guy that took it, then beat his *** and tell these other guys to stop buying stolen ---- or they will get fucked up too.

If you dont need you kit for a while, you may call les boeufs because they'll probably confiscate the whole stuff until the guy has been sentenced.

As what he'll get as a punishment, it won't worth the ---- you've been through getting you car stolen.

But...

The guy will probably wet his pants if the cops get involve and give some names, therefore bringing down with him other ----------ers.

You have the choice,

A)Going the Far West Clint Eastwood way and beat the crap out of him -immediate acute damage-, but then you may get into problems yourself.
B)Going the "normal" way, getting the cops involved and everything -less hurtful for him, less instantaneous satisfaction for you- but what he did mightl follow him a while in a criminal record.

It is up to you... Sorry you got your car stolen, act quick before he sell probably to another guy if you go with the cop solution.
