some one asked about getting into these contests there are alot of cool contests through the sae chapterrs at colleges, mine races dune buggies, and makes electric cars.

there's also formula sae where you build a formula 1 type car with a budget of $7k, I don't have any links to it, but I've heard about it.

I did the project as a class in high school. The tech teachers contacted the smart kids outside of class and we actually got 2 credits in highschool as an independant study course. It was badass. Now im going to UW-Platteville and will be doing the Formula stuff with SAE.
