can you look up vehicle registration via name or tag(carfax?)
as i said in another thread. sold the car to a guy...he sold it to another....now im told he no one has ever registered the car since i sold it. ive found places that you can do a vehicle search via name/tag....but i dont have the cash.
does anyone have a carfax account and can look up via name or tag....or belong to one of those net detective things

nope. one of my old cars im trying to get back. i found out that my name is still registered on the car. when i signed the title over to the car....he turned around and sold it to someone else....long story short...under the buyers signature, there are 4 different names that were signed then marked out and resigned by the next buyer. which voids the title.
im about to go take the damn car back.

it was your old car, you don't keep records? you should have the vin on some type of document somewhere. or ---- man, you are the registered owner still, just go to the damn dmv.

If it's never been registered after you then the title is still in your name no matter how many people it was sold or whatever. Just get your vin and go down to the DMV and apply for a lost title. I think it's like 20 bucks here or something. If those ******* can't ------- title a car then ---- them. Is the car still driveable or like a shell or parts car or something?

what happens if he pulls out in front of somebody, kills them and there kid in the back seat. he gets out. takes the tag off(which belongs to a different car) and runs....cops run the vin. then im fucked
its been a ------- year. im from a somewhat small town...people around there know how to get in touch with me.
and to be honest...i could give two ***** about that car...it has chassis damage. but my repo buddy is going to buy the car from me and let me ****** whatever parts i want sans the motor/tranny. which is perfect...i only want a few parts off it.

the car is still drivable...but ive already got a crx and an avalon(dd). the car has a bent chassis..got rear-ended but drives perfect. you pull the krinkle out of the side and you wouldnt notice. but yea. i really dont have the room, nor the cash to insure. im pulling the exhaust and a few other parts off and selling it to my friend thats helping me repo
