Can Someone help me put my clutch in please? Everett 98292 WA

Can someone please give me a hand doing this? I've never messed with a clutch while it was still in the car. If someone could just stop by for 15 min and point to a few "tricky" things they've learned through experience that would be great. Its a 95integra -

thanks,
Jake

loosen wheel lugs, jack front of car up take axles off, unhook trans linkage, take slave cylender off at the tranny but dont disconnect the hydrolic lines to it, drain transmission fluid, disconnect the speed sensor, starter and everything else hooked to the tranny. unbolt tranny from block. take mounts off let the transmission slowly drop with a jack under it or a hoist on the top of the motor. pull transmission off. wash hands good. take off presure plate put new clutch disk in, make sure you dont have it turned around. stick in alignment tool. bolt new presure plate on in the right sequence and tork to spec. reinstall transmission.

But seriously just do it, they are pretty easy. the first one i did i thought it was going to be hard but it wasnt, if you dont already get a manual, tells you everything if you arent sure yourself.

Can someone go overthe slave cylinder procedure .. i dont know what the ---- to do. Wheres the bleeder?

HMT-Admin 09-14-2005 11:59 AM

Re: Can Someone help me put my clutch in please? Everett 98292 WA

You dont take the lines off or even tap into the system at all. Basically just take the cylinder off the tranny. Remove the 2 12mm bolts and the one horseshoe clip for the line and hang it to the side.

Thats the easy way, buts its always nice to get back to maximum pressure with a quick bleeding session while ur doing the clutch. Just loosen the bleeder valve, and have someone pump the clutch, just like bleeding the brakes.

This is for a 6th Gen Civic. Basic idea. My Dad and I did mine and last weekend my buddies and I took out a Neon Tranny so it's all on a basic principle I guess. I'm sure if you searched you could find your application or atleast a B-Series. Heck, just ask Hotsex, if me and my ------ Dad can do it a school girl can.
