Default can i jack a car up on grass?

Hey all. like a month ago i payed this kid for some wheels. hes been avoiding me, not answerin my calls and ----, so today after work i'm just going to his house and taking the wheels off. i was wondering, his car is parked on grass, and it has been raining for a few days now so the ground is kinda soft. what do i need to jack the car up on grass. should i just get a piece of wood and put the jack over that or what? Thanks guys.

get a board or something, put the jack on that and do ur work, then just put blocks under the car to hold it up, or if ur hardcore, leave the car on the ground with no wheels

just put the stands on some plywood but used like two pieces but I'd still be leary. Just work fast if you have to do any under the car! You wouldn't catch me under there.
