can it be done without a welder?

i need to make an oil feed for a turbo... can this be done without welding? are there screw in fixings for the oil pan/sump available these days?

Re:can it be done without a welder?

if it connects to your oil pan then it is not an oil feed but an oil return...

You can buy a flange / gasket setup for this, but welding it into the oil pan is the best practice.

JB weld will work... if it were me though, i would be using Bulk-head fittings (thats really what you need), AND JB weld... but in this case, the JB weld is only being used to keep the bulkhead fitting from loosening up... its not being used to hold the pipe to the pan.

I got my oil return flange from an AUDI at the junk yard... and it was one of those screw-in types... but im gonna try to have sealed just to be on the safe side.... but im pretty sure if i use the gasket and bolt it on tightly it shouldnt leak ... and use loc-tite... just to be on the safe side again....

Come on guys, do it right, if you cant weld just take it to a shop that does, it will save you headaches in the future.

Braze a Brass fitting,

Or Mig/Tig a Metal/Steel pipe fitting.

I would say dont use JB weld unless its like 4am and you have to get your car out of the shop before mourning ;) but then again if your in any kind of shop there should be a basic cutting tourch setup around witch you can braze with.
