camera settings

how do i get macro to work on my camera?
it just turns out blurry.....what am i doing wrong?

Macro is usually for objects less than 1 foot away. It also has a slower shutter speed, so that could be why they're blurry.

i thought i was close enough.....
i'm going to buy a digital SLR i think. who here has one? any tips? I am buying a cheap one though as i'm not a baller
